About Don Dehoff

As a speakers, leader, software developer and strategist, I combine analytical thinking, respect for the audience and an eye for usability to present effective and creative solutions to problems. Sometimes, the solution is a technical one. Utilizing a wide variety of experience with software and hardware platforms, I can design and build a solution using existing or cutting edge tools, on short time-frames. While at AEP, I have specialized in developing web-based tools to enable employee collaboration and increase productivity. An idea generation tool I developed helped a business unit identify cost savings of $18 million in the first two months. Other times the solution is with communication. Drawing on skills learned in Corporate Communications, Toastmasters, and as a consultant and public speaker, I can advise clients on a better way to connect with their audience and get their message across. Often, people think they know how their audience thinks, and this is often wrong. Many business leaders come to us because their message isn't being understood by their employees. I am able to help them step into the shoes of their audience. Things as simple as rewording emails, improving the brevity of text on web pages, or including effective imagery can make all the difference in how your message is received and absorbed.
