About Donna Ozarko

The Canadian Amateur Softball Association, commonly known as Softball Canada, is a not-for-profit National Sport Organization (NSO) based in Ottawa, Ontario founded in 1965. It is recognized and financially supported by the Government of Canada as the National Governing Body for the sport of softball. Softball Canada is administered by an eight-member Board of Directors elected by the country's 12 Provincial and Territorial Associations, and is supported by eight staff members working in the National Office. Responsible for the effective management of Softball Canada’s Officiating/Publications programming including but not limited to managing the Softball Canada Officiating Program, organization of the Blue Convention, various Softball Canada publications such as Newsletters, Rule Book as well as the Volunteer Recognition Program. Working closely with program committees, specifically the ODC and the Umpire Program Review Committee (UPRC) in the development and implementation of the officials program. In addition, responsible for ensuring the development and delivery of the Officiating program is run consistently to each of the Provincial/Territorial Associations. Undertakes any actions and decisions that are necessary to achieve priorities within the parameters of the Associations’ Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic/Operating Plan.
