About Donovan Walker

A practicing Attorney-at-Law since 1991, Donovan specialises in the areas of corporate law, commercial law, maritime law, conveyancing, mortgage financing and securities, mergers and acquisitions, international trade and investments, sports and entertainment law. He is a Notary Public for Jamaica. He served as the President of the Jamaican Bar Association between March, 2014 to March, 2016 and is a Member of its Commercial Law, Publications, Revenue and Continuing Legal Education Sub-Committees. Donovan is the current President of the Organization of Commonwealth Caribbean Bar Associations (OCCBA). He currently serves on the General Legal Council. Donovan is the Executive Chairman of Subway (Jamaica) Limited and a Director of Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce Pocket Rocket Foundation, Companies Office of Jamaica, the Maritime Authority of Jamaica, Chairman of the Maritime Authority Pension Fund and previously served as a Commissioner/Director of the Consumer Affairs Commission, Jamaica. He is an active Rotarian and a Distinguished Past President of the Rotary Club of Saint Andrew. Donovan read for a Bachelor of Laws at the University of the West Indies as well as a Master of Laws at University College London. He also studied at the Norman Manley Law School, where he presently serves as an Associate Tutor. He is named as one of the leading commercial Attorneys-at-Law in Jamaica by Chambers Global as well as IFLR Donovan is married with 2 adult Daughters. He enjoys community service, intelligent argument, the great outdoors, adventure travel, fishing, tennis, swimming, teaching, art, closing the deal and a completing a great book.
