About Doug Farrow

Doug is a very experienced HR professional who has held a number of senior HR positions within both the private and public sectors. He has worked both at a practical ‘hands on’ level as well as working at a strategic level advising board members on HR issues. Prior to moving into consultancy Doug held a number of senior HR positions within the FS sector. In his recent position he was responsible for ensuring the strategic development of HR in supporting the business objectives as well as ensuring that the general day to day issues were handled effectively. During this time he was a key member of a team established to restructure a company and to position it to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. Doug has been working in the HR Consultancy area for over 10 years. He enjoys working with companies of all sizes and has a wide experience of career management, learning and development, coaching and talent management. He has recent experience of implementing management development programmes for managers within financial services and also within the media. He is a qualified retirement coach. Doug has also retained his specialised expertise within the employee relations arena recently assisting many companies with their employee relations issues including the provision of advice on TUPE and other matters. He has advised on a number of downsizing exercises for companies as well as on disciplinary and grievance matters. Doug is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and studied at the University of Leeds where he obtained a degree in Economics before studying for an MBA at The University of Bradford Management Centre.
