About Doug Stanley

I’m an experienced operations leader who is passionate about turning vision into reality. Whether your end goal requires a major building project, a software implementation, a new IP policy, or anything in between, I will mobilize teams to get it done. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: • Leading the multi-campus operations of one of the largest churches in America, overseeing its expansion from a few hundred attendees in one location to attendees per weekend across six locations. • Holding a leadership position at a large, multinational consulting firm, managing technology, process, and change initiatives for clients in the global energy and communications industries. • Founding and leading a boutique consulting firm offering expertise in business strategy, technology, intellectual property, and commercial publishing. • Serving as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a company specializing in dynamic communication solutions for nonprofits. CURRENT WORK: Today, I am the Executive Director of Operations at The Village Church, where I serve as a member of the executive team. I also use my experience to help churches grow and flourish through ChurchOp, a church operations consulting company. ChurchOp helps church leaders with a wide range of operational challenges, from information management to risk mitigation to book and music publishing. My diverse background and proven track record make me a valuable consultant to any organization seeking to achieve its strategic goals—not just churches. If you have a problem to solve, need subject-matter expertise, or want someone to drive your plans forward, let’s talk. FUN FACTS: I have a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. Early in my career, I evaluated the physiological effects of zero-gravity environments at NASA and conducted anthropometric research on astronauts. I also worked to bring new cardiac medical devices to market. Later on, I ended up working with someone who had the same kind of device implanted that I helped pioneer years before!
