Background

About Douglass Wicker

Previously, I was partnered with Synergy Feeds out of South Whitley, IN and Purina Animal Nutrition. I worked with dairy producers to help them achieve their growth, production, and nutrition goals. Synergy Feeds offers a full lineup of Land O' Lakes milk replacers, Purina animal nutrition products, and the ability to custom blend many different types of feed for producers. The last position I held was in the Winfield Associate Program with Land O' Lakes. I first worked with Country Visions Cooperative in Valders, WI to assist in their agronomy and operational needs. This gave me retail agronomy experience to better understand the day-to-day operations of a location. The second phase was as a Retail Development Manager Associate where I worked with retail sellers at Co-Alliance agronomy locations throughout Northern Indiana and southern Michigan to help them gain a competitive edge in the field and marketplace through Winfield expertise and products. I graduated from Purdue University in May 2014 with a degree in Agricultural Economics and minors in both Animal and Crop Science. Organizations that helped in my development include: Alpha Gamma Rho, Agricultural Council, Dairy Club, and the Purdue Dairy Judging Team. Furthermore, I had a study abroad experience to Ireland in Spring of 2012. Past internships that I have held with Land O' Lakes and Harvest Land Co-Op helped me gain both technical agronomy and sales experience. Lastly, my childhood started my passion for agriculture through growing up on a family farm. This family farm provided opportunities to learn agronomy and animal science skills as well as starting my own dairy heifer agribusiness.
