Design Vision & Team Management 🤝 Over the last decade, I've worked with many incredible people to craft experiences that excite, inspire, challenge, and connect players around the world. Behind every great game is a passionate team that is always learning and trying to raise the bar, while rallying around a unified vision. Achieving this requires a strong leadership team that can effectively scope, communicate, and champion that vision, while identifying, elevating, and mentoring the passions and skills of each member. Working on teams of varying sizes, I've had the opportunity to continually learn and have a hand in all facets of the development process, which has provided me with the perspective to understand what goes into each piece of the puzzle. This has proved invaluable as a Lead Designer where I am privileged to be part of establishing and championing the product vision, working with the leadership group to foster a team culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence. Skills & Experience Combining my passion for design and art, I've spent much of my career creating the environments and scenarios players immerse themselves in and are challenged by as an environment artist and level designer. This includes 2D and 3D asset creation and integration into various game engines, whiteboxing and mission/encounter scripting and design, level lighting and optimization. More recently, I've also focused on UI/UX design and player progression, ensuring players are introduced to the game in an approachable and intuitive way, and continually motivated and engaged as the experience evolves around them. This includes creating UI/UX wireframes/mockups/flowcharts, conducting user testing, and collaborating with artists and coders, ensuring seamless implementation for varying screen sizes and device specifications. Behind The Profile Much of my free time these days is spent creating core memories with my wife and two amazing daughters, playing and coaching softball, playing guitar, spending time exploring beautiful British Columbia, riding roller coasters, or playing video games and board games.
