About Ed Olayemi
I am a Hematologist with specialized training and demonstrated skill and knowledge. Over the years apart from regular practice as a Clinical and Laboratory Hematologist; I have developed research interests in Coagulopathies, Hemoglobinopathies and Transfusion Medicine. I am a trained Medical Educator with an MSc in Medical Education and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. I am interested in how medical trainees at all levels learn; strategies to improve their learning as well as in work place based learning and assessment. I have served and currently serve as Site PI / CO-PI on several investigator and industry sponsored clinical trials. In 2022 I was appointed the first ever full Professor of Haematology in University of Ghana.
