I am a Chartered Engineer with 19 years’ experience across multiple infrastructure projects from feasibility to delivery, leading to expertise in design, planning, procurement, contract law and project management. Experience and skills consists of: 7 years of on-site Construction experience of major infrastructure projects, including motorways, bridges, culverts, wastewater treatment works, water and wastewater pipelines. 11 years of Project Management experience in both Ireland and Australia, consisting of delivery of roads, water and wastewater and flood risk management projects, including developing project scope and cost estimates, overseeing final design, tender and contract award, provision of technical support to construction team and handover on completion. Strong working knowledge of Construction, Environmental and OH & S legislation and regulations, having developed full suites of contract documents for road realignment schemes and being responsible for final review of design for both major road and water schemes. Strong experience in Contract Management, having acted in the delegated role of Engineer on a number of infrastructure projects, involving, but not limited to, assessment of claims, variations, dispute resolution and certification of valuations of completed works. Strong experience of liaising with Consultants, Contractors, Local Government officials, utility company personnel, including electricity and gas, members of the public that are impacted by schemes, including presentations, meetings and onsite visits. Strong commitment to OH & S, having acted in the role of Project Supervisor Design Stage, being legally responsible for Health & Safety, on a number of road design projects.
