About Edward Trout

Currently I work as a POS Hardware Specialist at MilesIT. In this role I manage purchasing, deployment and staging of new servers, workstations and peripherals, research new devices and compatibility with user systems, create troubleshooting and system setup documentation and assist help desk with troubleshooting customers through remote connections and perform root cause analysis. Previously I worked my way up to Head of Operations and Techonologies of a small family company Marshland Capital in the cryptocurrency field. We provided incubation, acceleration and advisement to unique products in the space, many of which were forming from the ground up. We also transitioned to an events business where we would throw world class events along side conferences with top tier gallerys, entertainment, music, and networking in the space. Prior to that I worked in application triage, troubleshooting issues with in-house programs at Barclays Bank. I also worked closely with the disaster recovery team and aided them in reviewing and updating scrum teams on their status of their plans in the event of a disaster. My growth began when I worked as a manager for 5+ years at an independent movie theater. My duties included handling technical aspects of their ticketing system, point of sales system, and all digital equipment in projection including servers management, data transfers, hardware and software monitoring, upgrading, and privacy. I have a BS in Math and Computer Science from Stockton University, and a MS in Computer Science from Drexel University.
