Current Finance Graduate at Siemens Gamesa, enrolled as a CIMA student, awaiting SCS results. With plans to be exam qualified by November 2024.I love to problem solve and have a knack for always finding the most effective solution—be that finding solutions to operational problems or choosing the best pizza place in town. I have a 100% track record for the latter.Starting my finance career off the back of a successful undergrad in Chemistry, focusing on utilising AI for drug discovery and then moving into Accounting, Finance & Financial Analysis. I seem to find myself behind a screen analysing data to gain some insight. Now I get to use this insight to influence and develop business solutions for Operations and Financial Controllers here at Siemens Gamesa.Over the last 2 years, I have played a crucial role in our end-of-year audit, taking the lead on our fixed asset count of over £130m worth of assets and achieving a 97% identification rate. I have implemented a Kaizen system in our finance function, improving our reporting efficiency by 45%. Led the creation of a ~£100k+/year Service Level Agreement and assisted our FX colleagues in Norway and Sweden with expertise and FX reporting guidance.Furthermore, I fully intend on capitalising on my time at Siemens Gamesa and plan to undertake CFA Level 1, after my final CIMA exam. The CFA will help me to fully understand business valuation and investments, an area in which I feel passionate about and am looking forward to learning more of.
