My research brief is both cross disciplinary and policy-oriented. It encompasses debates on equality, including gender and disability, driven by the HR business case model. I have conducted a range of studies to highlight the mis/under-use of women's potential contribution. This work has been under-pinned by research into the EFQM business excellence model that stresses the need to take account of human values and places a premium on customer/employee/supplier interactions/satisfaction. My recent work has taken me into the realms of 'traditional' occupational roles examining both sides of the gender segregation divide: the lack of men in primary teaching and the lack of women in ICT and engineering.
