About Elise Berrier

I’m a current social work student with a strong background in curriculum development, training, and public health education. Over the past decade, I’ve designed and facilitated learning experiences for healthcare providers, government leaders, and community-based organizations, with a focus on improving the provision of HIV care and sexual and reproductive healthcare, developing housing strategies for people with HIV, trauma-informed practices, and LGBTQ+ affirming care.My passion is supporting LGBTQ+ youth and their families in a direct practice setting, strengthening community resources, and creating spaces where young people can thrive. In my professional and volunteer roles, I’ve developed and implemented training curricula, led initiatives to improve equity and access to care, and advocated for affirming practices across health, education, and social service systems.As I complete my social work education, I’m eager to blend my skills in program design, capacity building, and direct service with my commitment to empowering LGBTQ+ youth and their families.
