Background

About Elizabeth Daugherty

I am an undergraduate attending the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Pre-Veterinary Medicine Scholar at the MU College of Veterinary Medicine. I have a passion for learning and understanding the living systems of the world and a compassion for my both fellow man and fellow animal. My ultimate goal in the coming years is to successfully complete my undergraduate studies in biology and attend one of the nation's many prestigious veterinary colleges. Beyond that, I am not sure. I have considered a wide variety of fields, such as conservation medicine, animal behavior, neurology, soft-tissue surgery, etc. Whatever it may be, I look forward to continued education and specialization. I have developed a strong interest in the One Health initiative and I hope to be able to apply my future skills to improve the health and well-being of not only animals but humans and ecosystems as well.
