About Eloise Cuthbert

I am primarily working as a Research Assistant at the University of Newcastle, with Dr Sue Carson on a music education project titled,'The Future of Music Education: Student Engagement and Pathways in Music'. I have experience in qualitative (interviews, focus groups) and quantitative (surveys) data collection and analysis using QuestionPro and NVivo, as well as stakeholder engagement and recruitment, desktop research and conducting literature reviews. In addition to my role at the university, in 2024 I completed a skills-based internship at Curious Legends, a theatre company that creates large-scale, site-specific theatre and community cultural development projects. I received training in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Maths), sound technician operation, and lighting production. Previously, I worked as a Graduate Social Scientist at EMM Consulting Pty Limited, where I contributed to Social Impact Assessments for industrial scale renewable energy projects. I hold a Bachelor of Social Science from The University of Queensland, with a major in Environment and Society. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to advocate for intersectional social-environmental justice, accessible live music and arts experiences and education, and holistic and person-centred individual and community care to make a positive impact in the world.
