About Elroy Robert

I’m a passionate Genetics graduate with a strong foundation in health data analysis, bioinformatics, molecular biology and field-based wildlife conservation. Through my internship at PERHILITAN, I gained valuable experience working on a retrospective study of wild mammal health in Peninsular Malaysia. This involved analysing medical and laboratory data from tapirs, tigers, elephants and ungulates as well as participating in fieldwork activities such as necropsies, bird migration sampling and EEHV detection using PCR diagnostics.Besides that, my Final Year Project focused on gene network and pathway enrichment analysis of Burkholderia pseudomallei using Cytoscape, ClueGO and CluePedia which sharpened my skills in biological data visualization, scientific reporting and interpretation of complex gene expression patterns.I'm especially drawn to non-laboratory roles that combine science with people, communication and real-world impact such as - Clinical & medical data analysis- Public health & zoonotic disease surveillance- Genetic counseling support- Conservation & environmental health programs- Healthcare insurance or regulatory rolesI have strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, demonstrated through my leadership in university clubs and large-scale charity initiatives and I’m eager to contribute to roles where I can bridge science, society and strategy.Let’s connect! I’m open to exciting opportunities in healthcare, life sciences, or conservation.
