About Elvan Aksoy

With 15 years of experience in humanitarian and development programmes, I have solid experience in multi sector programming ( health, protection, economic recovery, shelter, wash, humanitarian mine action, site management, durable solutions) with strong expertise on economic recovery, protection, cash and voucher assistance in emergency and nexus context ( Türkiye, Libya and Sudan). In my most recent roles, I have been instrumental in setting up and leading the emergency response following the outbreak of violence between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces in Sudan in April 2023 and earthquake response in Türkiye- February 2023. I have coordinated and led the country emergency response planning, scale up, and adjustment of the overall programming within the shifting context. I have also successfully secured funding from various donors, such as ECHO, BHA, FCDO, EU, SDC, SIDA, OKF, GIZ, OCHA, UNHCR and Irish Aid for the emergency response as well as early solutions programming ( over 40 million USD). Through my work, I have demonstrated my ability to deliver results under pressure, manage and design integrated multi- sector and multi- area projects.
