About Elwin van der Klis

Mark your own path, at any time. That's my motto in my professional and social life and I live accordingly. After high school I travelled by bicycle through Europe at the age of 19. Following this experience I lived in the Basque Country (Spain) for 14 months, teaching English. I hold two bachelor degrees, namely a bachelor of arts (European Studies) and a bachelor of laws. My master's degree I received at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, specializing in Criminal Law. Having a special interest in Juvenile Criminal Law, I wrote my master thesis about changes in the chapter of Juvenile Criminal Law. It was graded with 8/10. After my studies I have worked for one and a half years as a social counselor. In the meantime I worked with two friends on a business plan for opening a social hotel in the north of Amsterdam. Since January 2016 I am a freelance consultant and coach for companies in the public and semi-public sector. I am especially interested in entrepreneurial solutions to pressing social issues.
