About Emily Brown

Learning new things excites me, whether this is learning a new way to do something or learning why we do something. This may have played a part in why I studied for a degree in psychology which then lead me to five years within the NHS on an acute inpatient mental health ward. This was a challenging environment but also extremely rewarding. Mental health will always be huge passion of mine. In my current role within Oxfordshire County Council Payments and Systems Data Team I feel I learn something new everyday. I believe that my logical way of thinking and my natural curiosity has allowed me to excel in this role. Other passions of mine include equality, diversity and inclusivity and service improvement. Throughout my working roles I have become involved in ways in which we can improve our service. Whether this be through making small or larger changes to inpatient wards with the aim to reduce violence and aggression, gathering patient feedback to then act on or being a champion for Delivering The Future Together within Oxfordshire County Council
