About Emily Evans

Words, cats, and horror are my three passions - and I'm lucky enough to work with the first! The non-profit Scream-themed cat shelter will have to wait. I've been working in the games industry for over 5 years now, briefly as a tester and now in my current role as Associate Copy Editor at Rockstar Games, honing my skills in proofreading, editing, and writing, both creative and UX. While I studied English at BA and MA, the last thing I thought I'd be able to do was turn my love for words and my hobby of gaming into a career. Through long hours and liberal use of the Oxford comma, I've edited and showcased how consistency and a sprinkle of 'how could this sound better?' can affect releases. I stream personally on my own Twitch channel, and as an Individual Ambassador for Women in Games on theirs, pushing for diversity and inclusivity in the games industry at all levels. I've been involved in event planning in both roles, including larger scale streams for charity.
