About Emily Gallant

Emily is passionate about the power of radical collaboration and the profound impact it can have inside communities and organizations. She believes perspectives are an asset to harness, not a risk to manage, and has built her career around this belief. An IAP2-trained facilitator and engagement practitioner with over 15 years of experience, Emily has spent her career designing ways for people to meaningfully contribute to the strategies and projects that impact them. She has worked with leaders and teams across several markets including energy, water, environment, transportation, education, healthcare, municipal, federal and others. In addition to traditional engagement work, as a Certified Systemic Team Coach she provides coaching services to leadership teams working within complex systems, focusing on the team's development as a whole, and how that team works and collaborates within their wider organizational ecosystem. Early in her career she played a key role in designing and executing the City of Calgary’s first ever Participatory Budgeting process, a project that won the 2012 CAMA Award for Innovation. In 2023, she was a co-finalist for GHD’s Global Chair's Award for Technical Excellence - a global award that celebrates innovative thinking, creative problem-solving, and a strong commitment to addressing the industry's toughest challenges. The featured innovation leverages AI to unlock the value of qualitative data, offering a powerful enhanced approach to stakeholder and community engagement. The solution is now being delivered for clients around the world. She has learned that it doesn’t matter who you are, what you do, or where you sit, high-value collaboration is tricky. And it matters.
