About Emma Bevan

It took me a while but I got here eventually! I never really knew what I wanted to do when I was younger and have had a few trials and errors along the way (beauty services, retail, estate agency, hospitality, financial services, just to name a few). It wasn’t until Covid hit when I was at home with the kids, homeschooling, that I realised I wanted to help children in some way. My journey start when an opportunity came along for me to lecture a special divisions team in my current field, but quickly realised it wasn’t the lecturing I was enjoying, it was the mentoring/guidance side I found more rewarding! I then took on roles as a TA in different age settings so I could learn more and gain more experience, meeting some incredible children/young people along the way. I then knew it was Children Services I wanted to be involved in. I am now fortunate enough to be working for a great local authority, assisting some amazing SEN caseworkers, helping these children/young people achieve their potential within education.
