I practice primarily in the area of defence litigation and have been acting for and advising insurance companies and its policyholders for almost 15 years. Throughout that time I have gained significant and invaluable experience in defending insurance claims at all Court levels but particularly at Circuit Court and High Court level. As a senior member of the firm’s defence litigation department, I am responsible for the management of a large caseload of files and advise on all aspects of a case from the initial instruction stage right through to the conclusion of a case. I am experienced in all aspects of litigation procedure. I have particular knowledge of and expertise in the defence of motor, public liability and employer liability claims to include catastrophic and fatal injury, bullying and harassment claims and actions against schools. I am also experienced in defending fraudulent and minimal impact claims and have been successful in having such claims dismissed by the Courts. I am experienced in defending high value claims and over the years I have dealt with complex cases advising on issues such as liability, indemnity, multiple and complicated injuries and medical history, loss of earnings, claims for future losses and care costs. I pride myself on continually striving to achieve the best possible outcome for my clients in every case irrespective of the value. In addition to personal injury actions I have represented insurance companies in actions arising from insurance policy disputes and property recovery matters.
