About Emma Crossley

I'm a purpose-driven People and Culture executive who believes the most powerful transformations happen when organizations lead with values, not policies. Across my career—from the UK and India to Kansas City—I’ve been trusted to build scalable people strategies, shape leadership cultures, and guide executive teams through growth, complexity, and change.I currently serve as Vice President of People (with full CPO scope) at Jack Stack Barbecue, where I lead all people, talent, and culture strategy for a 900+ person hospitality and manufacturing organization. I sit on our Advisory Board and executive leadership team, embedding our purpose—Hope Through Hospitality—into every touchpoint of the employee experience. What sets me apart is how I lead: I don’t believe in leading through demand—I believe in influence, alignment, and clarity. I’ve built systems that reflect this approach: leadership development anchored in values, ER investigations resolved with integrity (200+ with zero legal claims), and a 4.6 culture score that proves trust is our foundation.Whether advising CEOs, facilitating change across continents, or coaching emerging leaders—I build people strategy that works for business and humanity. If you're building something remarkable and want to do it through people, let’s connect.
