About Emma Stuart

Having recently returned from Canada, I am looking for freelance, short-term contracts; either remotely or onsite. Background: Emma is an Event Manager with over 13 years of Event and Emergency Planning experience. Qualifications include Level 6 Applied Health & Safety, Level 5 Crowd Management, Level 5 Planning of Major Events, IOSH (Managing Safety in the Exhibition & Events Industry), SPA (Safety Passport), LANTRA (12D (M7) Manager/Client Officer as well as Crowd Management qualifications. Emma also has an MA in International Relations and a BA (Hons) in History and Politics. A military background has provided many of the skills which have been utilized in the Events industry. As well as working on behalf of local authorities, she has also worked as a Freelance Event Manager, using her extensive experience in a number of capacities. Recent roles have included; Event Supervisor at City of Toronto, Consultant for Gentian Events Ltd, Events and Operations Manager at Somerset House, Duty Manager at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (on behalf of the LLDC), Safety Officer at the Just Eat Festival and Crowd Manager at the Eastern Electrics Festival, Hatfield House. A pro-active all-rounder with excellent project management experience, Emma has extensive knowledge and background in this ever-changing events world. Skills include; logistics and operations management, interpersonal skills, excellent supplier, venue and contractor management and negotiation skills. Emma has had a key role in Toronto and London's most challenging events including; Canada 150, Nuit Blanche, London's New Years Eve celebrations, Tour de France, Lord Mayors Show, Royal Parks Half Marathon, Hyde Park Concerts, Pride (London and Brighton), The Royal Wedding of William and Catherine, London Marathon, Wimbledon Tennis Championships and the Olympics. Emma is now working as a Freelance Event Manager and open to new opportunities.
