About Eoin mac Donncha

As the Head of IT at Fáilte Ireland, the National Tourism Development Authority, I lead a team of IT and Digital professionals who are responsible for developing and implementing the organisation's technology and Digital strategy, aligned with key corporate objectives. I have been in this role for over eight years and have a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management. My core competencies include IT and Digital business strategy leadership and implementation; people and team management; relationship management and IT service operations delivery. I have successfully delivered mobile and web platforms for experience brands such as Discover Ireland, The Wild Atlantic Way, and Visit Dublin, as well as key business services based on an enterprise-wide CRM system and customer portal. I have also ensured the security and reliability of the IT infrastructure and cloud services for over 450 users across the country. In addition, I have received multiple awards for my work, such as the Eir Spiders Awards for the Best New Website in 2021 and recognition on the Business & Finance CIO 100 Index in 2021. I am passionate about using technology to enhance the tourism industry and create memorable experiences for visitors.
