My first kitchen experience was at the Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite National Park. I entered that kitchen with no professional culinary experience and was unprepared for the volume of work. Yet within three months, I was promoted from Jr. Cook to Station Cook. I learned from that first kitchen, three important things that I use everyday: 1. Pay attention to everything you can. Help first, ask for help second. Try everything once and then use what works. This has made me a dynamic, multi-talented, team player that can lead the way. I am seeking opportunities to be a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager. I would be a great fit for anyone needing a start with menu or recipe development.
