As a senior information system engineer and team leader with more than 20 years of experience supporting the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, and upgrade of various IT systems and components, I have a track record of aligning technical solutions with corporate direction. I have: • Worked for the past 4 years in the highly regulated banking industry for Tapco/BB & T maintaining all aspects of Tapco’s datacenter including documentation and execution of disaster recovery and capacity planning. I also have primary operational responsibility for the VMware virtual environment, virtual desktops, Netapp storage, backups, MS Active Directory and Exchange 2010. I also coordinate with BB & T Information Security to remediate security audit findings • Worked for 12 years at Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, where one of my responsibilities was to maintain the Airport Authority's VMware virtual environment, including cluster layout, data store provisioning, and virtual network design • Years of experience working with cross-functional teams—including engineering and support teams; through diverse project experiences I have developed strong communication skills, organizational skills, and a teamwork mentality • Hands-on knowledge of diverse IT areas, including Netapp and EMC storage solutions, VMWare, and various Cisco and Microsoft applications.
