About Erick Moreno

Erick has escaped the social pressures of urban life by developing and creating/drawing imaginative unique murals and paintings, He progressively developed an exceptional social environmental consciousness. His dedication and display of natural talent and artistic abilities drew the attention of community members who sought his help and tasked him with producing signs, murals and designing flyers for local community events. Erick’s interdisciplinary artistic expertise has led him to work and volunteer for several organizations in the non-profit sector. Erick has provided administrative support, management of personnel, and overseeing cultural art department activities and also has produced many grass-roots inspired collaborative community events/showcases. He has been instrumental in bringing together other Los Angeles based visual artists, Hip Hop MCs, Graffiti Artists, DJs, Break dancers and local/international independent musicians/bands from a variety of genres including: Latin Fusion, Hip Hop, Rock, Cumbia and Reggae. Eric has become a leading Urban Curator, Muralist, Community Art Gallery Curator, Mentor, Graphic Artist, Experimental Filmmaker/Video Producer, Community Music Festival Producer/Promoter, Entrepreneur, Community Organizer, Inner-City At-Risk Youth Advocate, and Instructor. He is presently working as the Youth & Art Coordinator for All Peoples Community Center in South Los Angeles teaching art to children and youth. His community dedication and volunteerism has landed him interviews in Pacifica Foundation’s KPFK 90.7 FM Los Angeles. Erick is constantly painting in different media; he continues to revitalize and beautify the streets of Los Angeles with murals. He is also planning another visual/musical/cultural festival and is collaborating on several experimental film projects.
