About Erika Galbusera
I was born in Italy in 1994. After scientific high school, I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in July 2017. In October 2020 I received a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering – biomechanics and biomaterials from Politecnico di Milano. In my master thesis I developed numerical models in order to evaluate static and fatigue properties of polyaxial spinal fixators with both straight and contoured rods. I am currently working as an R&D engineer at STMicroelectronics, focusing my research on the development of Lab-On-Chip devices for biomolecular analyses.
