About Erin Casey

I've spent the last 16 years working at Pearson, first as a Senior Composition Quality Assurance Specialist (Proofreader), and currently as a Workflow Project Manager. I also offer freelance services that include proofreading, editing, social media marketing, and more. My love for working with people extends to my work with The Writers' Rooms. I helped found the non-profit corporation in 2018, and I continue to lead the Violet Realm, our science fiction/fantasy writing room. Our motto is,"We are Writers Helping Writers." We provide free writing spaces for creative minds, welcoming everyone no matter their skill set, income, age, gender, etc. We also publish community anthologies once a year to help show case our writers' works. I'm also a published author and blogger and use what I've learned at the Denver Publishing Institute to edit, design, and promote my books. I've published three books in my urban fantasy series The Purple Door District. I've also been published in multiple anthologies with more coming out. I'm a dedicated, hard-worker woman, an advocate for mental health, a supporter of the LGBTIQA+ community, and someone who strives to put 100% in everything I do.
