I’m currently studying Interior Design at The University of Edinburgh, where I’m developing the creative and technical skills to design thoughtful, functional, and visually engaging spaces. My academic journey began at City of Glasgow College, where I developed essential skills in 3D Computer-Aided Design, technical drawing, and physical model making—key tools that continue to support my professional development in design. Alongside my studies, I worked as a Sales Advisor at Superdrug, where I focused on enhancing customer engagement, driving sales, and ensuring an excellent in-store experience. This role has strengthened my interpersonal skills and commercial awareness in a fast-paced retail environment. Before this, I built strong roots in hospitality with roles at both McDonald’s and The Scotch Whisky Experience. These experiences sharpened my ability to stay composed under pressure, multitask effectively, and communicate clearly with a diverse range of customers and team members. Whether delivering fast-paced service at McDonald's or providing a high-quality guest experience in a tourism setting at The Scotch Whisky Experience, I learned the importance of empathy, attention to detail, and teamwork—all of which are crucial in client-facing roles within design and beyond. This real-world perspective strengthens my ability to approach design projects with empathy and practicality. I’m especially passionate about creating spaces that not only look good but also work well for the people who use them—whether it's improving layout efficiency, enhancing accessibility, or designing with customer experience in mind. These experiences allow me to approach each design brief with a well-rounded perspective, ultimately helping me excel in my academic projects and preparing me for a career in people-centered design.
