About Ernst Pontier
I always wanted to be an airline pilot. In 2014 I was finally able to fulfil this passion when I became a pilot at KLM. After graduating from KLM Flight School I started working for KLM in 2008, initially as a desk operator, later as a (senior) flight attendant and flight safety instructor and as a flight simulator operator/instructor at Lelystad Airport covering a wide range of roles which have one goal in common: to let that machine fly! And nothing is more exciting than to bring this great plane up in the air, which is what I am doing now as a KLM Embraer pilot. But over the years, I enjoyed instructing and teaching people in the various jobs I've had and I hope to be able to continue to do that. In my free time I love taking pictures of the various scenes I encounter during my travels and at home. Also I like experimenting in the kitchen with cooking, as well as writing about my experiences.
