Background

About Ernst van Biljon

Following a very satisfying academic career with specialization in logistics, supply chain and business processes management, I entered the “fluid” but exciting world of entrepreneurial technology start-ups. I am a supply chain management and business process specialist, with a demonstrated history in the commercialization of high-impact technology opportunities. My involvement spans diverse global platforms, contributing to ventures across health, medical, neuromodulation, artificial intelligence, lifestyle, and fitness industries. Proficient in enterprise engineering, I have hands-on experience in developing processes for efficient business operations, governance, and supply chain management. My expertise encompasses supply chain management, international business, corporate governance, fiduciary systems, business contracting, organizational design, financial management, cross-border operations, and banking systems. I have served as an executive in the neuromodulation industry in Europe and a business advisor in South Africa. Currently, I have come full circle, immersing myself back into academia. As a lecturer in supply chain management at both graduate and postgraduate levels, I am passionately working with the next generation of professionals. Simultaneously, I contribute to the expansion of institutional capabilities in supply chain management at postgraduate level.
