About Ethan Cates

In 2019, I had my first experience in Broadcast Journalism. I began as an on-air talent for my schools morning show. As I continued throughout high school, I continued to look for opportunities that would further my experience, and moved up to anchoring for my schools monthly show, Bobcat Broadcast. During this time I also began sportscasting Rainbow Six Siege as a freelancer. At the end of my Junior year, I became an intern at BECON-tv, alongside 5 other high school students. Through my senior year I became vice-president of my schools Television Production program, and led the club through the year, from New York City to Long Beach, California. As I transitioned to UCF, I kept looking for opportunities to get on camera, and found myself back casting Siege for CollegiateR6, a college Rainbow Six Siege league.
