About Ethan Moss

I have developed a career as a strategy professional with a proven track record of delivering cost-effective solutions within complex government environments. I identify and develop strategic, long-term solutions for critical legal, fiscal, and reputational risks. I have designed processes and innovative approaches to meet these aims I drive positive and proactive change, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, from frontline staff to senior leadership on challenging areas. I ensure I lead an inclusive environment in the teams I manage, and outside of my roles give back through extensive involvement in mentoring programmes to help others to further their own careers. My key strengths include: Strategic thinking and problem-solving Risk management and mitigation Leadership and team development Stakeholder management and engagement Policy development and implementation Hobbies and Interests: I play for the Welsh national quiz team, have made television appearances and won national trophies. Quizzing gives me a great opportunity for personal development, I enjoy the challenges it brings and the discipline it has instilled in me carries over into my work. At university I established a quiz society with over 100 members, succeeding in getting our team onto University Challenge multiple times and running a popular pub quiz with over 100 weekly attendees. The quick rise of the society in my leadership from non-existence to the UK's largest non-Oxbridge quiz society has been one of my proudest achievements outside of work. I also buy and sell historical autographs in my spare time, ranging from the Duke of Wellington and Winston Churchill to Mark Twain and William Wordsworth. This has been a great opportunity to develop my knowledge of managing fiscal risk effectively while engaging in an area I find personally fascinating.
