About Euney Marie Mata-Perez

Euney Marie J. Mata-Perez is a leading Philippine tax and corporate CPA and lawyer. She specializes in tax and corporate matters, and has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure projects, foreign investments, and all aspects of Philippine tax practice. Euney is a past President of the Tax Management Association of the Philippines (TMAP), the leading association of tax professionals in the Philippines, and the past President of the Asia Oceana Tax Consultants Association (AOTCA), an association of tax professionals’ bodies located in the Asian and Oceanic regions. She is also the past Executive Vice-President and Corporate Secretary of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines, Inc.(FINEX) and current Chair of the Tax Committee of the Management Association of the Philippines. Euney graduated Salutatorian of her class from the Ateneo Law School and earned the degree of Juris Doctor. She graduated summa cum laude in her undergraduate course of BS Commerce, major in Accounting, from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City. Euney has contributed to several publications, including CCH Doing Business in Asia, the Ateneo Law Journal, and the TMAP Technical Journal. She has also participated and conducted lectures in local and international forums, such as conferences sponsored by the International Tax Review, AOTCA, and TAXAND. At present, she is a regular contributor to The Manila Times, in the More to Follow column of the paper. She is the counsel of several local and multinational clients, including Food Panda Philippines, Holcim Philippines, Inc, Holcim Mining and Development Corporation, Aboitiz Power Corporation, PowerSource Group Development Corporation, Phinma, Inc, AC Energy Corporation, RFM Corporation, Concepcion Industrial Corporation,Luzon Hydro Corporation, Nickel Asia Corporation, and SunLife of Canada (Philippines), Inc. She is an independent director of Lopez Holdings Corporation and the Rural Bank of Rizal (ZN), Inc. She is also a professor in Ateneo Law School.
