About Eva Gillespie

Prior to commencing my studies at the University of Edinburgh, I secured a 12-month accountancy internship through competitive interview process with Scottish Power Renewables, part of the internationally recognised Iberdrola Group. As one of the UK’s leading energy suppliers, I gained invaluable experience as the company’s youngest employee working on some of their major offshore and onshore wind projects, namely, East Anglia One and the East Anglia hub located off the coast of Suffolk. I am now in my third year at the University of Edinburgh studying towards an MA in Economics and Sustainable Development with a particular interest in Carbon Accounting. Alongside this I am a member of Edinburgh University’s Athletics Club for both short and middle distance events. Over the past two summers I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working at the world renowned Loch Lomond Golf Club. My time at the club provided me with the skills to engage professionally and efficiently with a number of international and highly respected members. Upon returning to University this semester I have recently joined the team at CRUISE clothing- part of the Frasers Group at their store in Edinburgh. This summer I will be relocating to London to undertake an internship with Enviromena, a clean energy solutions company operating on an international scale to deliver safe, affordable, and reliable solutions to support the global drive towards net zero and meet the world’s growing power demands.
