About Evan Toal

As a 20 year resident of Jackson Hole Wyoming Evan Toal has been a noteworthy leader in the ecotourism space. As Operations Manager for Jackson Hole Whitewater Toal is responsible for over 30 seasonal employees and oversees the logistics of transporting nearly 300 guests by river and road daily. In 2017 his managerial expertise helped guide the acquisition and merger of two long standing Jackson whitewater outfitters. He has an in-depth and intimate knowledge of managing logistics and customer service in intense and potentially hazardous outdoor environments. Evan is a certified river rescue technician, trained in wilderness emergency medicine, and a class V river guide. Evan is also a 21 year veteran of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Mountain Sports School where he serves as training manager and outdoor educator. For 10 years he sat on the PSIA/AASI Intermountain education committee as the training chairperson for Divisional Exam and Clinic Leaders. There he helped advance and implement changes in national and regional training initiatives that have since changed the way snow sports are taught and assessed. Evan is a proven leader and problem solver and is committed to creating lasting and meaningful outdoor experiences for guests and visitors to the greater Yellowstone area. His passion for facilitating the safe and educational minded use of America's wild lands are what motivate him to provide exceptional guest experiences. He is a strong believer that the conservation and preservation of Americas wild lands are what continue to make America great. Core values like stewardship and education are what motivate him to continually pursue growth among his guests, staff and self.
