About Fabio Giovannercole

PhD in Life Sciences with over six years of bench experience in both protein biochemistry and microbiology. I've developed considerable expertise in protein purification and enzymatic activity assays; additionally, I gained experience in bacterial cell cultures and antimicrobial activity assays. My research involved collaboration with international labs where I spent few months. I presented posters in international conferences and I took part in the organization of the advanced course "Trends in enzymology and biocatalysis", which was held in May 2019 in Rome (https://teb2019.azuleon.org/). Open-minded and collaborative, I am sincerely determined to pursue a career in science; I am willing to learn from others and share my knowledge to gain new skill and improve my research and myself too. My scientific interests are all in the field of biochemistry and microbiology: from production/purification and biochemical characterization of bacterial enzymes, to research and development of new antimicrobial compounds. I am also fascinated by the use of the omics sciences, particurarly metabolomics and proteomics, to decipher the complex molecular networks that allow microorganisms to sense and adapt to harsh environments.
