About Federico Romanelli

Naval Architect and Ocean Engineer specialized in project management. I started my career as project manager assistant at G.M.G. shipyard in Genoa. During this time I started to develop soft and technical skills to succsessfully lead a repair or refit project. After my second degree achieved in Lisbon, I moved to Malta at Palumbo Shipyards where I've been assigned to dock 5, 190m long, as ship repair manager. After one year I got promoted to Head of Ship Repair Managers and I've been assigned to dock 6, 360m long. In this dock I lead big repair projects of cruise ships and military ships. In the meanwhile I started to be part of the high management meetings, where plannig for the whole yard was discussed and defined. As a plus I've been given the role of steel work manager, with the scope of improving this department. During this experience I developed and consolidated strong lead and managment skills, leading meetings, co-ordinating workforce of all departments, planning and adjust the plan to avoid delays, scheduling sub-contractors, mantaining good relations with clients from the kick off meeting to the departure of the vessel. I consider myself a determined and result oriented person. I love challenging myself and trying to exceed my limits. I think that teamwork is fundamental for achieving great results.
