Who would have thought? Mom was right, I am grateful she insisted I speak only Spanish to her. As an interpreter I have the opportunity to be in some very neat places. Language has opened many doors that usually remain closed, both to me and to the people I have the privilege to serve. I am very good at connecting with people; in a world that can seem divisive, I use language skills to bring people together. I have been an interpreter for the Utah State Courts for the past five years and for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the last six. Despite the vast differences in material I use my excellent linguistic skills, communication expertise, and my love of people to connect and communicate. Before being an interpreter, I worked as a paralegal and a dental assistant; you can never know too much about different things. I am a lover of books (Harry Potter), The Voice, and CrossFit.
