Background

About Fernanda Santana

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's in Political Communication and Lobbying from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), complemented by a semester at the University of Montreal. My academic background gave me a strong foundation in international politics, public diplomacy, and strategic communication—fields that remain central to my work today.Over the years, I have developed a parallel interest in marketing and communications. This combination of political insight and communication strategy has shaped my career in European projects and public outreach.Professionally, I have worked with organizations such as the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie and Logopsycom, and I am currently a Project Manager at the European Society of Cardiology. My main focus lies in communication and dissemination within EU-funded research projects, where I translate complex scientific work into impactful, accessible content for diverse audiences. I also created and produce Cardio Talk: Latest Research, the ESC’s podcast series highlighting cutting-edge developments in cardiovascular science.
