About Findlay Watson
I am a senior dual-degree Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Florida with a passion for manufacturing and design. My background includes both subtractive and additive manufacturing; skills which I have used to bolster my research, industry internships, and leadership roles. Beyond technical work, I am passionate about mentoring and leadership. As President of UF’s 3D Printing Club, I oversee initiatives to expand access to 3D printing, lead technical workshops, and collaborate with student organizations. Additionally, as an Engineering Design Teaching Assistant, I educate first-year students on the fundamentals of engineering like Arduino programming, circuitry, and 3D modeling. I am proficient in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion360, NX), CNC machining, additive manufacturing, MATLAB, C++, and microelectronics.
