About Firas Fredj

Researcher at the University of Manitoba in wireless communication and digital signal processing. Passionate about hardware and software design, my research focuses on L1/PHY protocols, leveraging AI-driven approaches, and optimizing antenna arrays based on information theory. Fueled by strong software engineering skills, my dedication lies in integrating antenna designs into end-to-end L1/PHY simulations to fulfill the demands of wireless systems. I earned my M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba where I focused on leveraging the AI techniques in estimation theory in wireless communication. I obtained my Diplôme d'Ingénieur in multidisciplanry engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Tunisie, La Marsa, Tunisia. I received my undergraduate degree in mathematics and physics from the University of Tunis, Tunisia. I aim to collaborate with forward-thinking teams and organizations that share my vision of shaping the future of connectivity and communication.
