Telling Stories That Drive Change I believe that stories have the power to change the world—especially when they amplify the voices of women and marginalized communities. For over 20 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of advocacy, media, and policy influence, shaping conversations around gender equity, reproductive health rights, and social justice across Africa and beyond. What I Do Best: Turning Research into Action – I translate complex issues like gender-based violence, FGM, and reproductive health rights into powerful advocacy campaigns that influence policies at the national, regional, and global levels. Strategic Communication & Media Engagement – I train journalists, NGOs, and advocacy groups to use media effectively to shape public opinion and drive policy change. Global Advocacy & Thought Leadership – I’ve led high-profile campaigns, moderated discussions at the G8 Summit, AU meetings, and the Family Planning Conference, and collaborated with organizations like USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GIZ, FEMNET, and the British Council. Building Impactful Partnerships – I’ve worked with governments, NGOs, and international agencies to design multi-country advocacy projects, secure funding, and drive sustainable development. Impact in Action: Spearheaded the "25 Conversations in 25 Schools in Africa" campaign—bringing young girls’ voices into decision-making rooms at the AU and country levels. The only African journalist selected for the International Academy of Sciences Conference in Beijing, later partnering with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to spotlight Africa’s health priorities. Invited by USAID in Washington, DC, to discuss FGM and strategic communication approaches. Produced media events at major global summits, including the G8, AU, CHOGM, and the Family Planning Conference, interviewing leaders like Tony Blair and Bob Geldof. With a Master’s in Education Leadership & Policy and a background in Journalism & Development Communication, I bring both expertise and passion to shaping gender-focused policies, mentoring teams, and driving meaningful change.
