Since 1973 in Cap Ferret, next to Bordeaux, Family Oksen prepares infused rums in the purest artisanal tradition. After many requests, Franck OKSEN launch his own production in 2009. His idea is to play with the aromatic range of spices, berries and fruits through exclusively natural, slow and rigorous macerations in agricultural rum from Martinique. The first one is made with entire cinnamon sticks, macerated long enough to provide the very essence of the spice and a hint of woodiness stemming from the wood of the stick, genuine piece of cinnamon tree bark. 100% natural, this spice rum displays a lovely coppery color. The second one used banana from Ecuador. Fresh with true aromatic complexity, this spirit is the favorite “eau-de-vie” of connoisseur. The third one sets in majesty the rare « Split Vanilla ». this vanilla bean has the particularity to have ripened on its liana until the pod opens, that is to say it splits. All the aromas of the popery, racy, slightly caramelized vanilla with some notes of chocolate and the sun’s sensuality can be found in this spirit with a golden gleaming.
