Background
About Franck Vazquez
I am a passionate advocate for open and transparent science, dedicated to advancing how knowledge is created, shared, and accessible globally. With a Ph.D. in Life and Health Sciences, I began my career as a researcher funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. I have published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles, which have been cited more than 6600 times.I moved to publishing in 2014 with one goal: Make science open. I believe that the power of science is fully enabled only when it is openly shared and meets the FAIR standards (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).I currently serve as Director of Open Science at Frontiers where I focus on advocating for robust open access policies and on promoting open global scientific collaboration. I'm always keen to connect with peers, partners, and innovators in scholarly communication, research policy, and academic publishing. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to collaborate on open science or community engagement initiatives.
