Anything it takes to make the customer happy” is a common phrase spoken around my office. It has been my primary philosophy since I opened the doors of Infinity Caterers, Inc. over 20 years ago. With 30 years of experience in the restaurant and catering industries, I've certainly learned what it takes to make my customers happy. After graduating from the Pennsylvania State University School of Hotel and Institutional Management, I began managing a popular suburban Philadelphia deli. I was a staple there, with the staff and customers always looking forward to what creative idea I would come up with next. Looking for more, I left the restaurant business after five years to try my hand in the world of upscale catering. I worked as second in command in a high-end catering business where I learned the art of delivering great food and amazing service. Here, I was able to fine-tune my ability to “make the customer happy” while learning the ropes of the catering industry. My clients were always thrilled with my services, but I found myself wanting to execute my own ideas and concepts. So in 1996, I created Infinity Caterers and put the great ideas swirling around in my mind to the test. With creative new dishes, gorgeous presentations, a staff that left nothing to chance, and a desire to delight, I hit the streets with my new company. The reception was overwhelming. Providing a new, higher-end, corporate experience and detail-oriented private catering know-how, Infinity Catering filled a niche that many did not know about previously. Eighteen years later, my partner/executive chef Nick Tellie and I still pride ourselves on the thrill of making the customer happy. I delight in spending time with my wife and two children, but my other love, the catering business, gives me tremendous gratification each and every day.
