About Fred Phillips
Having finished another overseas adventure, as Distinguished Prof in Taiwan, and Visiting Scientist at Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. I joined U of New Mexico in Fall, 2018, and retired in 2021. My firm advises on high tech economic development, higher education, and research policy, at Ministerial levels internationally. Our most recent engagements: Assessing Indonesia's national innovation system for UNESCO; and sci/tech/business foresight for Merck KGaA. I'm currently organizing the former Fellows of the IC2 Institute - an amazing brain trust - for ongoing opportunities now that UT-Austin has discontinued the Fellows program.
